My acrylic paintings, on unframed canvas, find their inspiration
from the sandy shoreline along the northwest coast of Northern
Lower Michigan or perhaps from the silence of the lush,
green forests with it's tall hardwoods and pine trees. Florida's expanse of picturesque beaches inspire my brush and my mind.
I try to capture the feel of a breeze upon your cheek as
if you are standing atop a dune, the sound recalled as the
waves kiss the shore, the melody of the songbirds and the
scavenging seagulls circling overhead (there are always
3 gulls in my paintings, symbolic of my 3 girls).
Your senses will recall the smells of the earth after a
cloud burst or the way a tiny cabin looks nestled in the
hillside, smoke billowing from it's chimney on a chilly
autumn morning.
